Become a Real Estate Appraiser Trainee
To become an appraiser trainee in Indiana, you must complete 90 hours of Appraiser Qualifications Board (AQB) approved education before taking the Appraiser Trainee exam.

Classroom hours are divided as follows:
• Basic Appraisal Principles (30 hours) - $385
• Basic Appraisal Procedures (30 hours) - $375
• Elective AQB Approved Course (15 hours) - $200
• Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (15 hours) - $200
Enroll in all four at one time for just $1,000 (a savings of $160).
Become a Real Estate Appraiser
To become an appraiser, you must complete 200 classroom hours of AQB-approved qualifying education, along with appraisal experience credits (2500 work credit hours over not less than 24 months) and the college courses or degree requirements, before taking the Certified Residential License Exam. Only AQB-approved courses of 15 hours or more with an examination can be used as qualifying education for pre-license purposes.
